I never anticipated pursuing a career in acting, despite my father being a prominent director and actor. However, a particular incident during my teenage years prompted me to reconsider this path. At that time, I had a strong passion for motorcycles, but after experiencing an accident while my father was on set, I found myself in a unique situation. The production was expecting choreographers from Tamil Nadu, yet the Kannada film industry lacked both dancers and a dance association. Consequently, I took it upon myself to teach the cast how to dance. Given my proficiency in dance, I managed to condense what typically took three hours into just one hour. Mayur articulates that the choice to cast him was not merely based on the action elements. “The inspiration to cast me in Pepe stemmed from a separate incident. The portrayal of a mass aesthetic in Mani Muniya and other films prompted Shreelesh to consider me for this role. I appreciated the manner in which he narrated the story. Although Pepe may seem like an action film at first glance, it explores significant themes such as caste, family dynamics, and feminism.

After a few years away from the industry, I am now embracing roles in film, motivated by compelling narratives and the support of my fans. Pepe represents a fusion of commercial viability and significant themes.
